V-Form targets the development of demanding, thoroughly researched and reasoned, high-class construction-kits for the clone of the spectacular gliders of the famous plywood-era. We intend to deal also with unconventional an unusual models - despite of the so much extensive and sometimes not entire research and documentation of such rare gliders.
Who is V-Form?
Horst Pohlenz and Michael Weingart, model-makers and model-pilots for more than 30 years, with extensive professional work-experience in practice as a model-maker in business for oneself and graduate engineer.
About the workings of V-Form
Both, development and manufacturing, takes place exclusively firsthand and within the locations of V-Form. The construction of our models is originated through modern CAD-Systems, using original documents, and is laid out in consideration of model-relevant and aerodynamic principles like chose of profile, joint of wings and fuselage, etc. Important parts like the main-bar of the wing are calculated and generated in relation to the ultimate strength and are adequately dimensioned and constructed. During the finish and elaboration of the visible surfaces, we aim at the maximal possible authenticity, for example the type and the working out of the plating-hemline of fuselage and wing. The negative mould of the fuselage is copied out of plywood-plated prototype fuselage and therefore shows the characteristically appearance of wood crafted fuselages with a visible rib-construction and obvious 2-dimensional plating cells. All this with ideal ultimate strength, a high degree of prefabrication and invisible upper seam. All wood crafted parts are CNC-milled and are enclosed to our construction-kits as formatted panels. By means of a patented sticking-technique, it is easily possible to succeed in quick and precise construction process. Each new construction is built up at V-Forms locations as a prototype that is extensively tested and checked out in flying, before provided as self-construction-kit.
